Xoul City has been building quietly out of Soul City, North Carolina since 2018, and "The Saga Continues" is their reminder that the long stretches between releases don't represent stagnation — they represent craft. The promo single arrives ahead of "Xoul Food," the trio's third full-length, and it does exactly what a teaser is supposed to do: Noble Vessel, SaeLah, and Preppy Beats show up fully formed, no warm-up lap needed. Preppy's production stays true to the framework the group built its name on — warm sample-based construction, measured drums, the kind of boom bap that nods to Native Tongues and the Little Brother school without mimicking either. All three MCs come with bars that balance personal testimony with broader social and spiritual conviction, threading the needle between introspection and declaration. For a crew that moves with this much intention, the hiatus only sharpened the pen. "Xoul Food" is on the way, and this single is the appetizer.
