We review the latest release from New York Native Whichcraft entitled "Face The Mask"
"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth." – Oscar Wilde
Whichcraft has whipped together a nice, lyrically sound piece of work here and going with the traditional Mask metaphor in how it shapes us as a person and sometimes to shield our inner selves.
Whichcraft's beat choices are dope on here, felt myself going on a bit of a journey through a blend of heavy boom bap derived drums and sometimes a bit of a jazz soundscape, Very nicely put together.
His rap style is nice to listen to, a tue pleasurable and all out passionate voice
Overall it's nice some of the sound mixing could be better but it was a fun listen
Standout Track:
"The Light Always Shines" - These kind of beats always pull me in. Heavy drum track and nice sampled stabs. Heavy rhyming throughout. It's a banger.
Go give it a listen guys, nicely put together project here from a hopeful applicant i hope to hear more from in the future.
