Still Hip Hop, Demorne Warren describes the landscape of Hip Hop in the year 2024. Unlike the usual rapper braggadocio, Demorne expresses the frustration of being an independent and sometimes overlooked MC. Produced by Bass Lewis, this song is the first of more projects to come from this pair and the third single from Demorne's upcoming album. With hip hop culture reaching a fifty year milestone in 2023, the art form has spawned many different sounds and eras worldwide. Despite the different tastes and regional nuances, Hip Hop culture is at the root of the different types of rap music. What started in NYC in 1973 is now a global phenomenon. No matter what subgenre you call it, "It's still hip hop to me".
