La Mauvaise Veine (Art​è​re, La Fausse Patte, Dj Masta​(​Aka Doudou​)​)

 

Through the 4 tracks of this EP "Mauvaise Veine", the cavernous voice and the dark poetry of La Fausse Patte, the bloody beats with the abysmal atmospheres of Artère and the scratched stabs of Dj Masta, the trio is at the forefront of fingering a promised land through oppressive social storms, crossing an ocean of paradoxical discomfort and throwing ink on themes related to mental torture and the tentacles of social codes, all the while navigating in the fog of a swaying butt trip. We think of the dense and vaporous atmospheres of Griselda or Benjamin Epps in France, and in this general way of revisiting in a modern way the tradition of a grandiose New York boom bap of the mid-90s (Boot Camp, Wu-Tang...).
