Manix & Able8 are proud to unveil 'Straitjackets For The Uninspired', a six-track EP that has been gradually pieced together over the years, like a complex jigsaw puzzle.
On this release, Manix deftly weaves lyrics infused with undertones of self-deprecation and sarcasm, painting a narrative that explores the shadowy realms of mental health struggles and addiction. Each verse flows seamlessly to the tones set by producer Able8, whose compositions bring haunting soundscapes of thickly layered synths and pounding drums over saturated analog bass lines.
Straitjackets For The Uninspired' also features the lush voice of Selki on 'Losing Sleep', razor-sharp flows from Joe Snow on 'Bad Karma', rustic vocal backups from Elf Tranzporter on 'Winter', and co-productions from Phillip Drummond, NonEntity and Mr. Richards.
