Cœur is the first of three albums by Deeq in collaboration with producer, Palmer Eldritch.

Palmer's production throughout this project is intrinsic to Deeq's approach to his writing. The amount of thought and care given to the beautiful array of layered sounds that comprise each track cannot be lost. His infliction is highly intentional, and leaves a lasting impression.

A collection of formidable backdrops that move like they're alive, exchanging places in an effortless dance. The music and the words talk to each other, as if deep in conversation. Cœur sees Palmer Eldritch in preeminent form, and should cement his growing reputation as one of the very best producers around.

This is a seminal album for Deeq, insofar as his progression as writer and artist. Palmer's production opens the door to new levels of artistry, beckoning more honesty, and more poetry than listeners have previously encountered.

Tracks like Narcissus (featuring Amos), The Source, Heuristic Dialogue, and Grand Polarity underpin the project, laying stoic foundations on which to build. Deeq displays a freedom, showcasing his lyricism and originality in equal measure. Using Cœur's soundtrack as his canvas, he creates new worlds within his songs. Never has the appreciation for his craft been more apparent.

Cœur is an album not to be overlooked. And one that sits comfortably among the strongest examples of UK Hip-Hop past and present.
