Passport Rav and Showalter have released the single “Masochist,” which emerged from a spontaneous collaborative project between the two artists.
The track is deliberately not lifestyle rap, but instead addresses the raw, unfiltered emotions involved in dealing with mental health issues and uncertainty. Passport Rav deals with topics such as broken friendships, family estrangement, and the loss of loved ones. The raw emotions are presented on Showalter's “grimy ass distorted SP 404 beats.”
