With the EP "Rose Hill," Deeq and Mankub deliver a raw slice of British reality straight from the underground. Across eight tracks, Deeq's honest lyrics merge with Mankub's dark soundscapes to create pure hip-hop. The project is a tribute to Deeq's childhood in Rose Hill, a socially disadvantaged housing estate in Oxford. It perfectly captures the oppressive atmosphere of the late 80s. As labelmates of G.O.T.M., the two deliver a cohesive work, complemented by guest appearances from Raz Ghoul, EF Knows, Jaroo, and Amos. From production and mixing to mastering, everything was handled by Mankub, while Deeq is responsible for the concept and lyrics. An intense journey into the depths of council estate life, recorded on "Hell's Balcony."
