Ap Major & Psix – Land Of The Oaks (The Oakland Anthem) [SINGLE]

 "Land Of The Oaks" is an anthem that bridges the gap between the Bay Area and the European underground scene. Behind the track lies a fascinating story of origin, one that breathes the spirit of genuine, improvised hip-hop. The collaboration between Oakland MC Ap Major (Guinness World Record holder for the longest rap marathon!) and producer Psix began as a chance encounter. Psix met Ap Major while freestyling on the streets of Tenerife and invited him to perform at his coffee shop. Psix had Ap Major choose three random numbers. Based on these numbers, Psix selected three records from his vinyl crates – forming the sample foundation for this beat. Together with Eddie Bear Shorts, who contributed the hook, an authentic homage to Oakland was created.
