It has been 25 years since Planet Asia and Rasco, as the Cali Agents, shook up the hip-hop world with their debut album “How The West Was One.” Released in 2000, the album is still considered one of the most influential classics of the West Coast underground. It was an uncompromising statement of lyricism, craftsmanship, and a return to the raw boom-bap sound—produced by legends like Madlib, Paul Nice, and M-Boogie. To mark the 25th anniversary, the “Agents of the Rhyme Game” are returning to the stage to celebrate this historic work live. Fans can expect a performance of the album as well as selected highlights from their extensive collaborative and solo careers.
