Sometimes good records just need time. Mike Fantastik's "Apocalypse WOW" was originally released in 2007 – and then disappeared into the noise of the MySpace era. Now, almost 20 years later, the album is getting a second life: "Apocalypse WOW: Redux" has been completely remixed and remastered by Old Man Death and is being released digitally for the first time. The result is a time capsule of the late 2000s underground scene that sounds fresher today than it did back then. The 13 tracks offer dark, humorous, and often surprising horrorcore-inspired rap with features from Big Left, Komatose, Audacity Jones, Izzy Dunfore, Entelygent, The Trashman, and KRYPTIK. Tracks like "Big Titty Nuns with Machine Guns" and "Gruesome Gore" show that someone here had fun pushing boundaries. This reissue finally makes this piece of underground history accessible to a new generation.
