Black Rob’s catalog has always been undersold relative to his cultural footprint – "Whoa!" defined a moment, but the albums behind it were deeper than most people gave them credit for. "Count on it" doesn’t feel like an archival exercise; it feels like unfinished business getting its proper resolution. G Dep’s own story – incarceration, return, rebuilding – gives his presence here a weight that goes beyond the bars. The production holds space for both of them without overcrowding it. This is what posthumous material should feel like.
