Natural Elements "aligNmEnt" [ALBUM]

Natural Elements came up in the same Bronx/Uptown orbit that produced some of the most technically rigorous rap of the late ’90s, and "aligNmEnt" proves that lineage is still load-bearing. What’s most impressive isn’t the technical execution – that was always a given with L-Swift, Mr. Voodoo, and A-Butta – it’s the group chemistry. Seventeen tracks and the dynamic never gets stale. "Whole Foods Of Rap" in particular shows a group comfortable enough with their legacy to poke fun at the culture around it without losing the seriousness underneath.
