UK rap has always had its own poetry, and Prolific Wone sits squarely in that tradition – a lineage that runs from early grime through the post-Section Boyz wave and into the current underground. "DARK TIMES" is uncompromisingly heavy: Manage’s production leaves no exit routes, and Wone’s delivery doesn’t look for one. The black-and-white visual treatment matches the sonic palette without being obvious about it. Lab79 is developing a consistent aesthetic, and this is one of their clearest statements to date.
