Eto out of Rochester belongs to that lineage of composed, minimalist storytellers with clear Roc Marciano DNA, with credits alongside Boldy James, Westside Gunn and Nicholas Craven. Jai Black isn't a bolted-on feature here but a running partner going back to Eto's earliest mixtape years, including 2009's "Firearm E," a connection that carried through their joint 2022 album "Abyss Dwellas." "Muuurdah" reads less as a standalone event than another chapter in a long-running, well-worn partnership between two artists who've clearly logged studio time together for over a decade.
