King Kashmere has spent years as the voice behind Strange U, but “Zero Point Modulations (Vol. 1)” flips the script entirely — his first full-length as executive producer. Twenty-three tracks, a feature list running past thirty-five names, and a sonic base sitting at 130/140 BPM that pushes past straight boom bap into grime, dub, and dubstep territory. “Dragon's Lair” pulls in Tommy Biz and Ray Vendetta for a three-way cipher over jagged drums and low-slung bass, each verse landing with its own weight without crowding the others out.
