Shacke One and Achim Funk — the duo behind the Nordachse series — deliver "Sternzeichen Boss" as their new project: seventeen tracks, strong guests, two protagonists operating in top form. The feature list is representative of the northern German underground and its immediate surroundings: MC Kneipenkrieger on "Avengers," Karate Andi and Megaloh on the "Kaiserwetter Rmx," S3000 on "Karneval Im Kopf," Jace on "Bars," Morlockk Dilemma on "Don't Stop." The closer "Avengers Rmx" assembles MC Bomber, Tiger104, Ivo Der Bandit, G.G.B. and MC Kneipenkrieger — the Nordachse Avengers in full formation. The physical approach is carefully considered: three vinyl editions of 500 copies each, every one presented as a double LP with Gatefold artwork designed by SuperSpray. A limited tape edition of 200 copies and a separate instrumental double vinyl of 300 round it out. That's collector-minded thinking that gives the project weight well beyond streaming. Achim Funk holds the sonic foundation consistent across seventeen tracks — no trivial achievement when the features bring such different energies.
