Jay Fehrman builds "Dank" as a classic producer album with clear structure: every track belongs to a different MC. AnthonyMa$on opens with the intro, Charley Roy closes with the outro "Fehrmanheit" a wordplay on the producer's name. In between: Rome Mallory, Heartbreak Julio, Johnny Storm, Da Cleaver, Monk Bloody, Yxng God, Mr. Ripley and Lyrikill. Two names we already know from the program: Johnny Storm ("ZA") and Lyrikill ("Winners Win" with EF Cuttin), while Rome Mallory appeared on the "No Mercy Cypher." The relay format has one advantage: no MC has to share space, everyone gets their own moment over Fehrman's beats. Track titles like "1979 Elevator Music," "The Last Sheik" and "That Dude On The Couch" promise character pieces instead of interchangeable posse energy.
