The story behind "STILLWAVE" matters more than the usual "producer met MC" template. Jonny Empire heard Igory's production first through a beat tape, picked one and freestyled over it on the Lord Sear Special on Shade 45 — that show that's been one of the last real underground radio holdouts since the 2000s. After the freestyle both connected on Instagram, traded music back and forth, and eventually it turned into a project. "Where I Belong" was the first beat Igory sent and the first track recorded. From there more songs accumulated until an emotional through-line emerged: reflection, confidence, balance, figuring out where you are in life without losing the hunger to rap like you've got something to prove. That's exactly what the Bandcamp notes state and exactly what you hear in the track sequencing. "Don't Play With Me" was already known as a preview, now it sits as the third track in context. The closer "Last Freestyle On The Lord Sear Special" closes the loop — the thing ends where it started. Six songs, all produced by Igory, everything recorded, mixed and mastered by Meerzy Blu.
