Eyedos carries a long-running thread of his solo catalogue into GUERRILLA IN A PHONE BOOTH. Earlier releases include Guerrilla Bars and The Guerrilla Tape; the new eighteen-track set returns to that naming history after records including Iron Kong and A King In The Clouds. The artist’s roots are in Vermont, where he became part of JynxINC with Krypto Man. His earlier solo work was documented by local publication Seven Days, which covered Guerrilla Bars and its guests including Rakaa Iriscience, C-Rayz Walz and Kool G Rap. The duo’s work continued alongside those individual releases, with Stir Crazy among its later projects. Eyedos now identifies Atlanta as his base. GUERRILLA IN A PHONE BOOTH includes Raw Deff and Subtex on “WRISTWORK,” with “DEEPFAKE” and “DEEP STATE” appearing as interludes within the sequence. It adds another substantial release to a catalogue developed through both group work and solo records.
