Key-Kool takes on both the recording and the filmmaking for “VSHA VSHA,” producing the track and directing, shooting and editing its official video. DJ Rhettmatic supplies the scratches, while LMNO, Dannu, Key-Kool, Lord Zen and 2Mex handle the lyrics. The video also brings in freestyle dancers, including Tyrone Maximum and Rich One. The crew’s first official recording, “Visionaries (Stop Actin’ Scary),” appeared on Key-Kool and Rhettmatic’s *Kozmonautz* in 1995. Its members had already crossed paths in other settings: Key-Kool knew LMNO from an earlier group, while Dannu and Zen worked together before adopting the Writer’s Block name. Sessions at the Bomb Shelter studio in Carson brought that circle together, with 2Mex joining after an invitation to spend time with them. The track itself appeared in a DJ-pack edition in 2025. The video now accompanies its place on the forthcoming album *The Last Shall Be First*, carrying an existing recording forward into the group’s next release campaign.
