Immigrant Summer by Akin Yai

 

This album was written over the course of an African summer/fall. It's theme music for rebellion, nostalgia, '96. And the cover art, a modern post-impressionist image of the artist in his room in Paris, gives the idea of the ironic silence, reflection and ennui associated with migrants in a bustling city.
