Timbo King x Ras Ceylon x Dawit Justice "Brownstonez"

“Brownstonez” is the new nostalgic motion picture/music video, directed by Hostage Media introducing Timbo King x Ras Ceylon x Dawit Justice "JacketFullaMedalz" album OUT NOW (physicals only/not streaming)! Video was filmed at the location of the Spike Lee joint “Crooklyn.” Brooklyn’s own brownstones are building landmarks to the borough and a trademark of great structure. This Medal Gear production from Dawit was also created in Brooklyn when Ras asked him to flip a classic Coltrane record to create this unique Hip Hop/Jazz track. Timbo King and Ras Ceylon deliver a view from a social, community, and political direction of awareness. This all takes place while the emcees enjoy a beautiful day in a neighborhood once labeled as a “red zone” for high crimes in the 80's, 90's and 2000’s being regentified now in 2024 these same Brownstone we use to sit in front of and play as children are now worth millions, making the community prime real estate. “Brownstonez” is the 4th official visual for the “Jacket FuLLa Medalz” project and has a cameo from Cruise who recorded & mixed the song.

Ras Ceylon x Sizzla x Young Shanty "Prayerz Up"

What a microphone is to an emcee, and wings are to a bird, prayer is to the soul. The divine energy of prayer is a sacred art and vessel designed to communicate with The Most High and experience a feeling of godly presence. Many believe daily prayer can bless themselves and others, bringing more peace into life while simultaneously receiving a better understanding of what God's plan is for them. Regardless if you are a believer in prayer, it is best not to question its power, as it would be foolish to unintentionally block your blessings.
Today, July 23rd, 2024, marks the 132nd anniversary of the birth of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, who is the inspiration for Rastafari, an Afrocentric spiritual and cultural movement that developed in Jamaica during the 1930s, contributing to the birth of Reggae music (which translates to "King's Music"), greatly brought to prominence by Bob Marley and continues to be a deeply sacred phenomenon rooted in its tradition of social commentary, African ancestry, ancient practices, and different forms of prayer.
"Prayerz Up" single and music video, strategically released on this day to commemorate the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah himself, Haile Selassie I, is a collaboration between California’s Oakland-based revolutionary Hip Hop artist Ras Ceylon and his brethren, Reggae/ Dancehall legend Sizzla Kalonji, and Chalice Row Records labelmate Young Shanty.
Since 2010, when Ras Ceylon first connected with Sizzla and was brought into his Judgement Yard family, they have shared many stages, collaborated on numerous songs, and worked together on several community-building efforts through the establishment of the Sizzla Youth Foundation. That said, what makes "Prayerz Up" significant? Short answer: When Sizzla, arguably the most prominent Rastafarian artist since Bob Marley, revisited the song, he proclaimed, "The time is now to film this video. The world needs this!"
Without missing a beat, Masa Media brought out the cameras and started shooting on location at Sizzla's Judgement Yard compound in the community of August Town, Kingston 7, Jamaica. The colorful Caribbean visuals compliment the hypnotic Monk HTS-produced soundscape (mixed & mastered by C-Sik), creating the perfect backdrop for showcasing Ras, Sizzla, and Shanty raising awareness of preserving nature, living righteously amidst a corrupt society, giving thanks to The Creator, and most importantly the power of prayer. When speaking of "Prayerz Up", Ras Ceylon declared, "Our form of prayer may be different than one typically thinks. It’s not necessarily about getting on your knees and looking to the sky; prayers can go up in many different ways. This song itself is a form of prayer and we pray the listeners can open their hearts to God's Will through the frequencies and messages within. Each prayer is significant and we gonna keep sending these spiritual kites up to the Lord of all the worlds, because it’s crucial in this time.”
"Prayerz Up" is the sixth single/music video from Ras Ceylon's "To Srv The Ppl" LP which is available everywhere via the Billboard-charting, Miami-based reggae record label, Chalice Row Records, featuring notable guest appearances by Perfect Giddimani and Wu-Tang Clan swordsmen Prodigal Sunn (Sunz Of Man), La The Darkman, Timbo King, Kinetic 9 (Killarmy), and Solomon Childs.

Timbo King X Ras Ceylon X Dawit Justice - "It's On In"

The origins of music can be traced to the origins of language, leaving many to debate which came first.  What cannot be disputed is that music arose to fulfill essential needs, one of which was to enhance communication with the divine by celebrating life's blessings through organized sound. Since years have been recorded, the end of each year has served as a remarkable time to commemorate another chapter closed, reflect on the year's accomplishments, and declare new resolutions that will help reach even higher peaks. With that in mind, Brooklyn's world-renowned Wu-Tang Killa Bee, Timbo King (Royal Fam/Black Market Militia), joins forces with California's Ras Ceylon and Dawit Justice for their latest collaborative single and music video, "It's On In," to cut loose, celebrate a new year, and embrace new beginnings. The high-energy, up-tempo Medal Gear-produced soundscape is so West Coast'in' that the trio felt it was imperative to film the music video in Oakland, California.  Directed by DJ Just Jay, the visual's cinematic brilliance captures the true essence of "It's On In" from the recording studio to the tail-shaking nightclub, where Timbo King and Ras Ceylon take turns lifting spirits with precisely executed bars of joy.  Ras Ceylon said of "It's On In", "This is a celebration for everybody. Sometimes you gotta remember why we do this. This is pure joy. We are three hip-hop heads who had a lot of fun creating this song and celebrating our blessings through music. Timbo King added, "Let's make It's On In a New Year's party anthem!" "It's On In" is out now and is the third single/music video from Timbo King, Ras Ceylon, and Dawit Justice's upcoming collaborative album titled "Jacket Fulla Medalz," which will be released in early 2024 and features guest appearances from Buckshot, La The Darkman, Prodigal Sunn (Sunz Of Man), and Tragedy Khadafi. *The album is the follow-up to 2018's Full Medal Jacket, featuring Ras Ceylon, Tragedy Khadafi, and Dawit Justice.

Ras Ceylon ft Timbo King & Tragedy Khadafi - "Frontline Generalz"

Ras Ceylon, an educator, community organizer, and recording artist based out of Oakland, California has recruited Queensbridge juggernaut Tragedy Khadafi (Intelligent Hoodlum) and Brooklyn's Wu-Tang verbal-swordsman, Timbo King (Royal Fam), to fight on the frontlines of the concrete jungle for We The People, navigating righteous souls through this poisonous world of elitist treachery and deception. Together, these three lyrical lions form the "Frontline Generalz" in pursuit of empowering the youth and arming them with the essential tools needed to build a better tomorrow.

As we have all been recently reminded during the global coronavirus pandemic, frontline workers play a significant role in economic growth.  These workers are defined as representatives that provide essential services to the general public including education, health care, public safety, and local/national government leadership.  Ras Ceylon's "Frontline Generalz" does all of the above and more, with each emcee skillfully gift-wrapping lessons, immortalized over producer Dawit Justice's hypnotizing soundscape, a powerful follow-up to their 2018 Tragedy Khadafi, Ras Ceylon & Dawit Justice "Full Medal Jacket" EP ( https://rasceylon.bandcamp.com/album/full-medal-jacket-tragedy-khadafi-x-ras-ceylon-x-dawit-justice ). The visuals, directed by Hostage Media, masterfully provide a glimpse through the window of three generals meeting like Knights of the Round Table to administer much-needed change in our politically polluted society.

Ras Ceylon, who also works closely with The Black Panther Party Cubs, led by Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., in addition to being a member of Sizzla Kalonji's Judgement Yard Family, spoke about "Frontline Generalz" stating, "This song reflects the revolutionary lifestyle we strive to live. I have always used my music as a tool to wake up the masses and expose corruption. Frontline Generalz delivers a message of hope for Hip-Hop and healing for the world, and we vow to continue to serve the people in solidarity with the struggle of liberation."
