On the road to his first full length album, Burial Plots & Pyramid Schemes, IM'PERETIV drops off the last release before the album drops.  Enlisting Pro Dillinger, Asun Eastwood & SLNC on the verses and Dystrakted on the cuts IM'PERETIV crafts and underground banger.  Timing is everything and with the timing of this track made it an unintentional ode and nod to the late great Black Rob (RIP) ... Whoa!  Asun penned and recorded the "Whoa" inspired bridge before Black Rob's passing, and with those lyrics already set it was a no-brainer to have Dystraked cut and scratch the Black Rob hit.

"Eye of Saadiq", an abstract titled track with art to match, connects ASUN EASTWOOD (Toronto) and SLNC (North Carolina) on a gutter IM'PERETIV production with cuts from DYSTRAKTED. “Burning barrel over his eye, look like Raphael Saadiq” The SLNC bar that inspired the track's abstract art and title paints a distinctive visual for what the listener can expect. Gutter, grimey, gritty, filthy ... all appropriate adjectives to describe the slick street talk by ASUN and SLNC over this haunting IM'PERETIV production.
