Alive and well from the underground, Sauga City's Master of Ceremonies J Shiltz returns with "The Latest" - the first single from his new album, "Forever The Artist," produced entirely by Charisma of legendary Scarborough hip-hop collective Monolith. "The Latest" features Charisma's instantly appealing production and Shiltz's precise lyricism, tied together by a Rel McCoy chorus that will have you wondering how it's possible for Rel's trademark soulful vocals to blend so seamlessly with this absolute heater of a track (rest assured, Rel pulls it off without a hitch, even managing to squeeze in a few bars himself). After years of independent releases, Shiltz has finally found a place to hang his proverbial hat at the iconic URBNET Records (which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2024), and he sounds right at home with the label's backing.
