Contracts over Contacts....
The 5th full length studio album, finds us just a few months after the release of the last album ( Cool Disco Dirt ) and some may be wondering WHY SO SOON?
This year, the artist made a vow to release 3 full length albums in 2025 and so this marks 2/3 and you'll see why the sound needed to reach the people at this moment.
Through social media, a link was created between Skinny Hightower, a multi-instrumentalist, producer & composer and of course the artist in conversation, Let The Dirt Say Amen.
With much toil and consideration the two have created a 10 song movement that should have no room for skips.
This also marks the first time the world has ever heard an album by the artist that has been produced solely by another producer.
Now that you have the back story, here's the plot:
KNOW YOUR WORTH AND DEFEND IT. There are many gatekeepers in Hip Hop at this point and we've gone from a talent driven industry to a space where only a few are annointed and given opportunities to truly make a living and create business ventures based on the ability to earn while committing to your craft as a musician. Sometimes you may wanna be in those rooms you see on TV but once inside there's alot of talkers vs doers. Everybody wants to be famous.
Eventually your phone becomes full of contacts and no contracts.
