Promise is the debut collaborative album from UK producer Vice Beats and New York–raised, Paris-based MC Napoleon Da Legend, bringing together a rich cast of musicians and vocalists from across Europe. The album explores the realities of navigating today’s shifting music landscape—balancing wins, setbacks, false starts, and the lessons learned along the way.
Napoleon Da Legend (NDL) is a prolific bilingual rapper and producer recognised for his socially conscious lyricism, razor-sharp delivery, and iconic “metal helmet” persona. Over nearly two decades he has cemented himself as a vital voice in contemporary hip-hop, collaborating with Raekwon, Sean Price, Vinnie Paz and many others, and releasing more than 45 albums.
Vice Beats is a UK-based producer celebrated for his soulful, boom-bap–driven sound—rooted in golden-era aesthetics yet reshaped for a modern audience. His catalogue includes collaborations with Blu, A-Plus (Souls of Mischief), Akil, Phat Kat, and more, with praise from figures such as KRS-One, DJ Premier, DJ Koco, and Gilles Peterson.
The project also features striking original artwork by Ego Strip illustrator Dan Lish, known for his visual collaborations with De La Soul, Raekwon, and Large Professor.
Set for digital release via HHV Records on 29th December, Promise closes out a landmark year for both artists and marks the beginning of a fresh sonic chapter for Napoleon Da Legend as he moves into 2026.
