Underground hip-hop continues to thrive as Boom Blake and JP Da Illist reunite with super-producer BhramaBull for the highly anticipated follow-up to their collaborative EP Bosses And Thieves. The original project dropped October 31, 2024 via Gryndfest Music Group as a four-song release showcasing raw lyricism and gritty boom-bap production.
Now the trio is back with “Bosses And Thieves 2,” a new four-track release led by the standout title track “Rigatoni.”
The first Bosses And Thieves project introduced fans to the chemistry between New Jersey lyricists Boom Blake and JP Da Illist over cinematic production from Los Angeles producer BhramaBull, delivering an 15-minute burst of underground hip-hop energy and storytelling.
The sequel builds on that foundation with sharper bars, bigger concepts, and even darker sonic textures.
Boom Blake and JP Da Illist have steadily built momentum in the independent hip-hop scene, with previous releases, interviews, and collaborations highlighting their dedication to “timeless hip-hop with depth, storytelling, and sharp bars.”
With BhramaBull once again handling production, Bosses And Thieves 2 continues the movement with a cohesive sound rooted in classic boom-bap and modern underground grit.
The project’s lead single “Rigatoni” sets the tone for the release, delivering street-level storytelling, luxury crime-cinema imagery, and razor-sharp wordplay that defines the Bosses And Thieves series.
