DJ Muggs and his newest Soul Assassins collaborator, Heartbreak JC, have released the "LUV" EP. The EP is part of an intensive wave of releases from the duo in early 2026. Background: DJ Muggs has officially signed Memphis-based artist Heartbreak JC to his label, Soul Assassins Records. "LUV" is the latest release from their ongoing collaboration, which has already yielded projects such as "Pay Attention" (EP, Jan 2026) and "Soul Flight To Paradise" (single, Jan 2026). The sound is typical of DJ Muggs – dark, atmospheric, and underpinned by a heavy bassline. The mix was handled by Muggs and Sam Kingston, with mastering by Brian "Big Bass" Gardner. In YouTube comments and social media posts, the team hinted that they are currently in the studio working on a full-length album together.
