Los Angeles, CA / Washington Heights, NY — Underground lyricist Echo links with LA-based producer BhramaBull for their new single “Gargantua,” a gritty, hard-hitting record that blends NYC energy with dark, cinematic West Coast soundscapes.
Echo first made noise as a member of S.P.I.K. Click alongside his hometown crew in Washington Heights, later going solo with his 2003 breakout mixtape and video “QBX Anthem.” After relocating to Los Angeles, Echo sharpened his identity—delivering a distinct style built around New York flows over West Coast-inspired production.
That evolution sparked standout releases like “Letter To Barack” and “Hip Hop High” (produced by X-Man of the VJC’s), followed by his 2011 EP “Repetition Of Sound,” featuring production from respected LA names including Jansport J, Curtiss King, King Trax, TBD Productions, and more. His momentum led to a strong live run across premier LA venues such as The Airliner and Whiskey A Go-Go, and ultimately earned him a major international stage at the M.I.R. Hip Hop Festival in Moscow, performing in front of 80,000+ fans alongside B.O.B., Eve, and Ice Cube.
Now, with “Gargantua,” Echo teams up with BhramaBull—founder of Gryndfest Music Group—known for his raw underground sound and the acclaimed Evolution series, continuing his run of street-inspired, high-quality hip-hop production.
“Gargantua” is available now on all streaming platforms.
