Boldy James needs no introduction – his monotone, near-whispered delivery has established him as one of the most distinctive voices in modern underground hip-hop, particularly through his work with The Alchemist on "The Price of Tea in China" and the Concrete Cowboy series. Max Julian's production gives Boldy the space he requires – minimal, atmospheric, free of unnecessary ornamentation. When Boldy appears on a track, the foundation has to match the focus.
