His sound sits squarely in the lineage of composed, minimalist East Coast storytelling – clear Roc Marciano DNA, credits alongside Boldy James, Westside Gunn, and Nicholas Craven. Jai Black isn't a convenient feature choice: the two go back to their earliest mixtape years around 2009 ("Firearm E"), a partnership that culminated in the joint album "Abyss Dwellas" (2022, produced by Deepstar, Divine Matter Records).
