GH(ost) is described by HUES himself as his fourth studio album and third solo outing, and the accompanying description provides an unusually clear conceptual foundation: the "Silent Letters" in the title the silent "h" in "Ghost" become a metaphor for unspoken thoughts, feelings, and ideas that have accompanied HUES over the past four years. To exorcise these "ghosts," he assembles a group of MCs and artists who translate these ideas into language on his behalf. This construction a producer as musical director deploying different voices for different internal states is structurally ambitious and is supported by the sheer range of artists involved: Gold Midas appears three times (including co-production on "The Motions"), Simple Cuts is present both as a featured cutter and as the album's consistent scratch artist.
