Jihad has nothing left to prove: an underground MC from the South Bay Area, on the mic since 1988, first wax in 1996, with groups like Third Sight and Foul Mouth Cringe in the rearview. "Methanol" continues one of the underground's most reliably strange partnerships – following "The Little Assassination Handbook" and "Lobespierre", Senz once again handles every beat, DJ Jazz T supplies the cuts, and Sqreeb polishes the post-production. Twelve tracks, nearly all under three minutes: Jihad's dense, off-kilter pen over warped loops, nothing overstaying its welcome. The single "PCP Flow" is the formula in miniature – Senz beat, Jazz T cuts, Jihad at full throttle. Released through Boot Records, with the vinyl adding two bonus cuts, "Spike Trap" and "Ice Volcanoes".
