After so much of that sacrifice, it gets to a point where we have to look out for ourselves and say 'you've benefited from my sacrifice and humility for awhile now, this time there's no discounts’.
Apollo and I have been successful in our careers by doing things on our terms, and sometimes those terms come with sacrifices for us honoring our culture and paying to forward.
This time around, while still looking out for y'all, we're looking out for us. No discounts on this ride".

"With this album, the idea is realizing what you want and what you're willing to put forth for it.
Everything has a tax on it, and when you decide you want something, be it material or figurative or anything significant, when the tax is revealed you have to decide if it's still worth it.
This album represents making that decision from a place of growth, maturity, 10 years wiser than the last time Apollo and I were around these parts.
The album starts out with the listener and I taking a drive to get that "thing", and by the end we're looking in the rear view mirrors, at the end of the drive, reflecting on what it was all worth”
