Czarface "No Competition" [SINGLE]

Czarface the supergroup formed in 2013 by 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck releases "No Competition" through Silver Age, and the context is unusual: the track was crafted for the Onimusha video game franchise, Capcom's samurai-horror series. Production comes from 7L and Jeremy Page, mixed by Andrew William Morin, mastered by Jason Bitner. For a group that has operated as a walking comic-book universe since its debut with Lamour Supreme as cover artist and a catalog including collaboration albums with MF DOOM ("Czarface Meets Metal Face," "Super What?") and Ghostface Killah the step into gaming is consistent: Czarface was always more franchise than band. The single follows this year's "Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer" album. A Wu-Tang member over a beat built for a Japanese samurai game closes a circle that began in 1993 with Shaolin kung-fu samples: the pop culture Wu-Tang once plundered now commissions them directly.
