The Mainline Freestyle is the third Sean Links freestyle this site has carried this year, after the Hall Freestyle and the Piano Love Freestyle. The format is the tradition: no concept, no album frame, just an MC and a beat, testing whether the craft holds without production doing the lifting. Links's album Mad Max, produced in full by HxlySmxkes, is out on vinyl for anyone who wants the long form. The freestyles keep coming in between. The mainline, in this context, is the vein. The underground's pulse, taken regularly.
