Unc Doe comes from Youngstown, Ohio, a city tied to industrial decline and a hip-hop tradition that rarely travels as far as it should. He writes, performs and produces "Pick Up What I'm Droppin'" entirely himself. The title issues a direct challenge to the listener: catch everything being laid down each bar, each idea, each image. Self-production closes the loop on full authorship, and the Youngstown address means this record exists without any infrastructure outside Unc Doe's own effort.
