Benny Slumz brings Benny Watts into his catalogue with Nobody Fool, following a year that already includes Behind The Smile, his album with Tone Spliff. That partnership gave Slumz a complete production setting, with Spliff handling the beats and scratches and Ruste Juxx appearing on Who U?. The new single introduces another voice with a history of his own. Watts came through The Suspects in Norfolk before the solo work and renewed partnership with Pete Twist documented around The Benny Watts Riot. In an interview about that record, he traced some of its writing to his time in prison and explained how his connection with Twist developed across different stages of his life. Nobody Fool brings those two recording histories together in a three minute single issued under NewClear Mafia productions. It sits alongside Slumz's recent collaborative work while giving listeners an introduction to a guest whose path through Virginia rap extends well beyond this appearance.
