Just imagine if this happened and picture the setting…

It’s the late 1930’s and the local jazz club is packed to the brim with people awaiting the rapper Nas and his jazz musicians (orchestrated by Producer Funky DL) along with featured artists to come and play a 10-track set to forever be remembered. The lights are dim and the hall is filled with smoke, whilst the clinking sound of champagne flutes ambiently gesture in the atmosphere. Nas and Funky DL are having their picture taken outside the club in an array of spotlights glaring from their vehicles (see artwork). Then it happens… The two step inside and “JAZZMATIC” erupts … All you have to do now is… “press play”...

For the first time ever, all three of the Funky DL Remixes Nas "Jazzmatic" albums are compiled into one extended trilogy set.

Spanning 32 tracks, this compilation showcases some of DL's finest instrumental explorations in combining Jazz with Hip-Hop, whilst the New York native and legend that is Nas spits his classics.

Funky DL steps back into his premium position on this authentic Hip-Hop joint entitled "Full Court".

Enlisting the supreme skills of newcomer E1EVENSHAY, the two trade their lyrical talents over this boom-bap infused jam with screeching jazz brass horns and dexterous double bass.

The beat stems from an idea DL put together quite a while back, but spent some time to formulate the sample by separately manipulating the elements of jazz percussion, bass and horns.

Although over two decades separate these two MC's in age, the youth and vigor of E1EVENSHAY, paired with DL's masterful wordplay makes this combination a force to be reckoned with.
