New Jersey rapper Tru Trilla dropped his banging new album “XVI : Return of the Gods” through New Dawn Records on May 31st.

Immediately featured by Bandcamp in the front page ‘New and Notable’ spotlight section, the release is fuelled by a diverse and potent soundtrack laced with the full artillery. Bolstered by a stellar line up of producers and guest featured artists from around the States and beyond, the result is a series of cuts delivering the best of traditions through twelve gauge bars, beats and turntablism.

Released subsequently on June 18th is the single “Drop Jewels”. Produced by prolific beatmaker and turntablist DJ Tone Spliff, the joint features fellow Newark native and Jersey Gore group member Prince Ak alongside Brownsville’s lyrical warrior Juxx Diamondz. In addition, the new “I-71” remix is provided courtesy of NDR affiliate Qadir who channels his inner Schifrin for a different take with a filmic twist.

Two new official accompanying videos were also released on June 18th, published on the label's Youtube channel @newdawnrecords
