Wildchild (feat. Guilty Simpson & The Soulyghost) - Breathe

We’re nearly a decade removed from the phrase “I can’t breathe” entering the popular lexicon after Black Lives Matter protestors adopted the dying words of Eric Garner as he was being choked to death by an NYPD officer—and yet the phrase, unfortunately, remains just as relevant today. The subject pervades West Coast rapper Wildchild’s latest LP, Omowale, taking center stage on the album’s latest video for “Breathe,” which sees the emcee and his collaborators Guilty Simpson and The Soulyghost laying down flowers at a gravesite. “Breathe” appears on Wildchild’s fourth solo LP, Omowale, which is available now via DSPs, CD and vinyl through KRB Music in partnership with Fat Beats.

Wildchild - Reflections

“Reflections” is the release day focus track taken from Wildchild’s long awaited LP, Omowale. The Nottz-produced single provides the ideal backdrop for the luminary Lootpack emcee to speak on many of the injustices in today’s society, in hopes of being a catalyst for change. Both “Reflections” and Omowale hits DSPs March 25th via KRP Music in partnership with Fat Beats. The 15 track LP boasts production and appearances from Madlib, Posdnous (De La Soul), Big Daddy Kane, Guilty Simpson and more!

Wildchild - Manifestin (prod. by Madlib)

Wildchild delivers a stirring, cinematic, and deeply personal look at police brutality in his new video for “Manifestin’,” an enough-is-enough anthem off his highly anticipated new album, Omowale. The track is produced by longtime collaborator Madlib and features vocals from L.A. singer Angelo Arce. It’s a somber reminder of just how far we still have to go in this country, and the horrific reality that too many people face as a result of interacting with police. Omowale becomes available March 25 through all major DSPs as well as CD and on vinyl via WIldChild Records in partnership with Fat Beats.
