 In a dark night club in Denver Colorado, Hip Hop heads from all corners of the state met to watch something no one had ever seen before. The legendary Son Doobie of Funkdoobiest was in the Mile High City for a one night only Live Hip Hop Event. With the help of Denver Emcees: Status, Krookid Hooks and The Manic - the roof was literally blown into sky. This led to an alliance between the Soul Assassin and some of Denver's best Hardcore Emcees. After the historic performance, Son Doobie and his new friends met in the basement of the venue to write and record an underground classic! DARK AVENGER - Featuring Son Doobie of Funkdoobiest, Status The Marlboro Man, Krookid Hooks and The Manic. 

DARK AVENGER is an old school style posses cut, featuring some of the best in hardcore Hip Hop. The beat is drum heavy and tribal with dark stand-up bass and brooding strings throughout. The intro was recorded over the phone from prison by N8H8 of Bagz of Dagga, who is currently incarcerated. Son Doobie is a West Coast Legendary Emcee and B-Boy, Founder of Funkdoobiest, and Host of The Dr. Greenthumb Podcast with B-Real. Status, Hooks and Manic are groundbreaking emcees from North Denver, who have spearh-eaded the Hardcore Hip Hop scene in Colorado for over 20 years.
