Dillon And J57 - "The Squeeze"

Lobsterdamus himself (aka Dillon) is back and this time around he's rocking his trademark style of true school lyricism over beats by none other than FiveSe7en Collective founder, J57.

While most heads are likely familiar with Dillon (I mean, shit, he did a full project with Diamond D), they may not know he is the driving force behind Full Plate Records and the semi-annual Plates & Crates events in the ATL. This triple threat (emcee/DJ/producer) really doesn't need anyone's help to make dope music but he has regularly collaborated with a number of respected rappers and beatsmiths over the last decade, including Paten Locke (RIP), the aforementioned Diamond D, Batsauce, Boog Brown, and more.

As for J57, he has been a notable boardsman since his Brown Bag All-Star days. The NYC producer has done albums with a diverse cross-section of emcees, including Ras Kass, El Gant, Shabaam Sadeeq, Blame One, and Heem Stogied.

These two linked to cook up some marvelous shit and the end result is a full-length album titled "83 Kids." Over the course of ten tracks they display a genuine chemistry that is complimented by features from Skyzoo, Blu, Diamond D, and J-Zone (on the drums). The lead single is titled "The Squeeze," which is out now.
