Eff Yoo "Ghostface Kilo" (prod. by J57 and Jon Glass) Video

The first single and video from Eff Yoo's latest album "14Kt Gold Slum Computer Wizard" tells a tale of growth and wisdom, with the same braggadicio words and flow your used to from the Queens Native over a haunting soundtrack by super producers J57 and Jon Glass, with special appearances in an iconic NYC setting, beautifully captured by director New Vegas.

Dillon & J57 - The Squeeze

Having just dropped their joint album "83 Kids" earlier in the week, the duo are back with the first video off the album. The video is the perfect lead-in to Hallow's Eve as it is rife with voodoo dolls, creepy masks, creepy crawlies, and trippy effects...Dillon even dies by the end.

This visual accompaniment to one of the best songs on "83 Kids" is not the work of a sole creator but instead a group effort. It was directed by J57, filmed by Fulani G. Jabri, edited by Morningside Films, with VFX by Indieffects. Peep the vid below but maybe keep the lights on.

Dillon x J57 x Diamond D x Skyzoo - "Come Up"

Dillon and J57 are back with one last single before gracing heads with their collab LP "83 Kids" next Tuesday...and this one is major! Not only does the song boast one of the best beats on the album, it features guest verses from DITC icon Diamond D and top tier lyricist Skyzoo.

After Lobsterdamus lights the fuse with a verse that outlines his early days in Hip-Hop, Diamond kicks that classic Psychotic Neurotics flow, and then Sky sews the track up with bars that are so authentic, they define the very essence of Hip-Hop.

Dillon x J57 - "83 Kids"

Atlanta, GA, October 15, 2021 - Dillon and J57 pull in fellow 1983 baby Blu for the title track off their upcoming album. The track explores the year the trio were born and the era they grew up in. They reference everything from the release of "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" to the Lakers losing in the 1983 NBA Finals to the "Wild Style" soundtrack dropping (complete with a funky break from the movie).

Over a swooning soundbed Dillon gets loose, J brings the electricity, and Blu shuts shit down. Deft scratching in-between the verses pulls the song together.

Dillon & J57 - Coladas

Last week Dillon and J57 hit heads with "The Squeeze," the lead single off their upcoming collab album "83 Kids" and this week they're back with a fun track titled "Coladas" that brings a little sun to the Fall. J builds the beat around a funky guitar lick and echoing horn stab, which Dillon casually walks all over. If you're looking for that strain of Hip-Hop that is not trying to keep up with trends or play too cool, but instead revels in what made the masses gravitate towards this street-bred genre in the first place, you just found it!

Dillon And J57 - "The Squeeze"

Lobsterdamus himself (aka Dillon) is back and this time around he's rocking his trademark style of true school lyricism over beats by none other than FiveSe7en Collective founder, J57.

While most heads are likely familiar with Dillon (I mean, shit, he did a full project with Diamond D), they may not know he is the driving force behind Full Plate Records and the semi-annual Plates & Crates events in the ATL. This triple threat (emcee/DJ/producer) really doesn't need anyone's help to make dope music but he has regularly collaborated with a number of respected rappers and beatsmiths over the last decade, including Paten Locke (RIP), the aforementioned Diamond D, Batsauce, Boog Brown, and more.

As for J57, he has been a notable boardsman since his Brown Bag All-Star days. The NYC producer has done albums with a diverse cross-section of emcees, including Ras Kass, El Gant, Shabaam Sadeeq, Blame One, and Heem Stogied.

These two linked to cook up some marvelous shit and the end result is a full-length album titled "83 Kids." Over the course of ten tracks they display a genuine chemistry that is complimented by features from Skyzoo, Blu, Diamond D, and J-Zone (on the drums). The lead single is titled "The Squeeze," which is out now.
