With his new single “Always Been A Dreamer,” Fokis makes a powerful statement for all visionaries and simultaneously marks a premiere: his first collaboration with legendary producer K-Def. The track is part of the innovative “docu-album” project “Hello, My Name is Fokis,” which blends music and documentary into a 46-minute experience. While the visual journey premiered back in 2024, “Always Been A Dreamer” is finally available on all streaming platforms as well as on vinyl, CD, and tape. K-Def, a protégé of Marley Marl and known for his work with Lords of the Underground and Ghostface Killah, provides a soulful underground soundscape over which Fokis tells his story as a “persistent dreamer with a plan.” Written, filmed, and edited by Fokis himself, this release showcases the full creative control of Loyalty Digital Corp. and Will 2 Win Media. Anyone who appreciates lyrical depth and legendary boom-bap production should check out this milestone of independent hip-hop culture.
