Cyrus Malachi is a rapper from London. He burst onto the UK hip-hop scene with his crew Triple Darkness on their 2008 debut album "Anathema," an LP that has become known as a UK classic. In 2009 he joined the Orphans of Cush, consisting of Kyza Smirnoff, Cyrus Malachi, Melanin 9, and Masikah. Farma G, born Robin Coombes, forms one half of UK hip-hop group Task Force alongside his brother Chester P, and has since 2018 been producing beats for US underground acts including Recognize Ali, Mooch, Mach-Hommy, Jay Nice, Rome Streetz, and Vinnie Paz. Having these two names on one track connects two central lineages of UK underground rap: Malachi for the dark, esoteric side, Farma G for the craft-driven, crate-digging tradition. Circa 97 and Cheeba Cheeba Records provide the framework.
