"Amigos da Dundas" is Ghostface Killah over Bane Capital production, packed into roughly ninety seconds a single that states its business and leaves. Out now through Bane Capital Productions, it's the fourth single lifted from Terminal 2, the duo's upcoming LP, which arrives next month with features from AKAI SOLO, Papo2004 and ANKHLEJOHN. The title nods at the duo's hometown grid Dundas, one of Toronto's cross-town strips and the Wu-Tang connection behind the record runs through Raekwon: Bane Capital first linked with the Chef on "Alley Larks" back in 2022, and this reads like the natural next step of that bridge. For Bane Capital a Ghanaian-Canadian production duo, active since 2021, with credits reaching from Toronto's own TOBi to Rapsody, Phoenix Pagliacci and Chuuwee the Ghostface co-sign caps a run that already includes Good Product, their LP with Koncept Jack$on (Raekwon, MED, Fly Anakin, Rome Streetz and ANKHLEJOHN all pulling up), joint singles with Blu and MED, Estee Nack and AKAI SOLO, a 2021 Season 0 catalogue of four self-produced albums, and a New Era cap collection. In five years they've turned themselves into one of the country's most reliable producer camps the kind of operation that makes Toronto a mandatory stop on the underground map. Ghostface's half of the equation needs no summary here: Park Hill to Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Fishscale the stream-of-consciousness style that rewired what a rap verse could hold. NPR once called him "maybe the hardest, most intense" MC in a group full of them. For this one, the press notes promise vintage GFK over what they call "boom-bap futurism." Ninety seconds to find out.
