KPZ x Chaotic Turtle "DRIPPERY" [ALBUM]

Seven tracks, twenty-two minutes, and one of the cleanest credit blocks you'll see on an independent release: all beats by Chaotic Turtle, arranged and mixed by KPZ, mastered by Kevin Holevar. Beatmaker, arranger, mastering engineer three names, three jobs, no ambiguity about who did what. DRIPPERY runs as a rapper-and-producer record with a rotating cast. Rick Ruger on "Only Worthy Challenger," Raymo on "Puzzled," BAMbam the Voodoo Chi7d on "Oh No!," Ant G on "Ain't Going Back," Dope Da Vinci on "Double Up." Two of the seven tracks are solo. Nothing runs past four minutes. It comes through Last Laugh Records, a label operation out of Sterling Heights, Michigan the page carries separate sections for its artists, its catalogue, its merch and its community, which is the structure of a small roster rather than a single act. That's also why there isn't a biography attached: the label account speaks for the release, not for the people. Between the title track, "Miss Karma" and "Double Up," the shape is classic producer-album logic establish the sound, take it somewhere, hand the last word to a guest. At around twenty-two minutes there's no room for anything else, which is the point.
