Fortunato "Will To Survive (Gordski Remix)" (feat. Chadio, Noah23, Wordburglar & Ultra Magnus) [SINGLE]
The first single from the remix album of Fortunato x The Dirty Sample’s The Coalition, is “Will To Survive (Gordski Remix)”. The production half of Halifax hip hop duo The Goods, Gordski makes a surprise return with this remix, turning what was a collaboration between rappers Fortunato and Ol’ Gorilla Bones into a posse cut featuring some of the best in the underground Canadian hip hop scene. Fortunato is joined by Chadio, Noah23, Wordburglar and Ultra Magnus as they each present their views on survival in rap, in life, and even in the afterlife. Each MC provides their own unique vision and vocal delivery while Gordski’s low-end-heavy beat moves through multiple change ups to keep things fresh through this five minutes of funky boom bap. The remix is also accompanied by the original version produced by The Dirty Sample and featuring his MC alter ego OGB. And if you prefer visuals with your audio, check out the animated video by Kaleb Bumboclap.

[new video] Max Moon - "Scrawlings" featuring Ultra Magnus
Max Moon drops the video for "Scrawlings" featuring Ultra Magnus, the second single from his upcoming album, The Grand Howl.
Max Moon continues to do it on his own terms with “Scrawlings”, the second single from his upcoming debut record, The Grand Howl, out September 26, 2025 on Hand’Solo Records. The self-produced song pushes into new territory with trap and bongo drums and crackly vinyl loops. It is a blazing lyrical barrage although Max still hits introspective notes and touches on down and out themes, while featured fellow Hand’Solo compatriot Ultra Magnus enters like a cannonball with the dynamic energy he’s become known for. “Scrawlings” is a barstool banger and a synthesis of two unforgettable characters in the Canadian rap landscape.
The new visuals for “Scrawlings” include scenes of Max Moon rapping in his natural habitat: the back streets and trails of the Nickel City. The great time Moon and videographer Johnny Bizness had cruising around the city shooting this thing is apparent in the video. Unfortunately, Ultra Magnus couldn’t make the shoot but his presence is undeniable as soon as you hear his voice over the beat. We hope you enjoy this exploration of the Great Sudbury area!

Max Moon - "Scrawlings" featuring Ultra Magnus
Max Moon continues to do it on his own terms with “Scrawlings”, the second single from his upcoming debut record, The Grand Howl, out August 2025 on Hand’Solo Records. Ultra Magnus x Taco Supreme - Consistency (video + single)
About “Consistency”:
For their latest outing, MC Ultra Magnus drops a pair of politically charged verses with a delivery that is equally influenced by the old school and the new over a smooth cloud rap beat from Taco Supreme that is heavy in bass, the song concluding with an epic psychedelic guitar solo. In the accompanying efx-heavy video, Ultra Magnus sports a balaclava while rapping and dancing in a TTC subway station. You can’t hang.

About Ultra Magnus:
Ultra Magnus is a weirdo who grew up in an extremely isolated part of Canada, but thanks to the advent of the internet he discovered hip hop decades ago and obsessed over it. Now based out of Toronto, he lives like a homeless grifter, drifting from city to city performing his rhythmic bleating to the uninitiated. Three albums in and Ultra Magnus is about four months away from becoming cynical because he’s old, washed up, and his albums never really blew up.
About Taco Supreme:
Taco Supreme is a mixed media artist, audio engineer and video tech based out of Tennessee. The Ambassador of The Southern Demon Herd, 1/3 of the So Fxcked Up Squad, and hip hop producer extraordinaire.

Ultra Magnus makes slam dunk with "Kobe"
Ultra Magnus returns with his first new jam since he dropped Muziki Mzuri in summer 2019, and “Kobe” features production from Boogie Belgique, who heavily contributed to that album. Over the chill groove, Magnus opens with a high speed delivery before slowing it down for the listener’s sanity, but throughout he remains both energetic and invigorated. Littered throughout the lyrics about death, mortality and loneliness are numerous basketball references as Ultra Magnus proves he’s the rap Kobe Bryant, DJ SLAM!’s cuts further reinforcing that reality. Working to the theme, the video sees the rapper slam dunking rhymes at the basketball court in African-inspired attire while the director of the video, Taco Supreme, gives the video a hallucinogenic vibe through the use of a variety of effects. “I’m nothing like what you wanted,” raps Ultra Magnus, “but everything you need.”

Mickey O'Brien - Hubris (video) + tour
“If I talk about God my record won’t get played,” goes the opening and closing refrain of this spiritual ditty unlike most. On new single “Hubris”, the fifth from his new album Shift Change, Mickey O’Brien reveals his spiritual awakening and expresses his belief in, and worship of, God, but he also calls out those blasphemers who distort religion for selfish and self-serving reasons. Accompanying the bluesy album version with its live instrumentation is a new remix from original producer Fresh Kils, a sample-heavy boom bap beat with soulful male vocal replacing the jazzy hook of the original, while the cuts from DJ SLAM! remain a central focus. Both of these records talk about God and surely both should get played!

Ultra Magnus - Duck (Duck, Goose Remix)
Ultra Magnus released “Duck”, the first single from Muziki Mzuri, his third album with Hand’Solo Records, just over two years ago (Dec 20, 2019, to be exact). Without previous two-time collaborator DJ SLAM! backing him on production and turntables, a sizeable segment of the album was produced by Juno-nominee Fresh Kils, including “Duck”. Amidst the hype for the single, Ultra Magnus was joined by label mates More Or Les and The Mighty Rhino to record a posse cut remix of the song. A planned video was never materialized thanks to the covid shutdown, which also delayed the drop, but it won’t derail the release of the remix. Retaining the hype production of the original, Magnus, Les and Rhino each provide an energetic verse of braggadocio and wordplay with their own distinct delivery. When these three MCs bust, suckers duck!
